I have known Muthu Kumar for close to 20 years now and he is nothing short of a miracle worker. Back in 2001, I was struggling with a constant knee pain that had lead to limping while walking and difficulty having an active life. I was just 16 at this time. I had met every specialist under the book but nobody could diagnose the issue. My knee X-rays and scans came back pristine. One neurologist even went to suggest that I was probably imagining this. But Muthu was the first person to figure out that this was a pain radiating from my hip. Eventually it was diagnosed as a chondroblastoma and was followed up with 2 surgeries which would basically buy me time till technology caught up. Muthu was there to support me through both and fast tracked my recovery and rehab process and literally got me walking again.
For the next 20 years, he constantly stayed in touch and made sure he intervened whenever my hip would act up. In 2021, things got bad again. I found it difficult to walk and there was a constant grinding pain in the joint. Muthu was the person I went to again. He recommended that it was time to get a Hip joint replacement. I moved to Bangalore for 6 months, so I could get my rehab done with him. Noone else would do 🙂 And I was right to. I am completely normal now, with newly regained mobility and a whole lot of gratitude.
Muthu is not just a physiotherapist. He genuinely takes an interest in your life and makes sure you are consistently making the right choices for an active life. If he says something, listen. Cos this guy always walks the talk.

We have known Dr. Muthu for over ten years now. Every time there were any aches or pains he was the default choice of doctor to go to. We have time and again heard miraculous stories about his experience and deep understanding of muscle anatomy. How he has helped in very many ‘impossible’ recoveries.
I am one such story.
I injured my back in January 2020. Various Orthopedic surgeons suggested spinal surgery to remove the disc between my L4 L5 vertebrae as the only way of recovery. I went to four doctors and all of them stood by this. A spinal surgery. All of them said there was no other way. I was completely bed ridden, in constant excruciating pain and couldn’t walk. Didn’t know what to do. Dr. Muthu came home. Saw my MRI and very confidently told me to give him 12 weeks. He said I will be perfectly ok if I have the patience and the faith. The confidence with which he spoke comforted me and we started our treatment. Those twelve weeks were difficult. There was a lot of pain. A lot of doubts if I was doing the right thing. If I will ever be ok again. He kept reassuring me and stood by my side all through it.
And yes, he healed me. Completely healed me. I was walking in eight weeks. The lockdown hit us and he was helping me with rehab online. I continued rehab and I was back in action. We are in March 2022 and I am perfectly ok. My back is stronger than ever. I am back to my workouts and we did it all without any surgery. Dr. Muthu is the only person responsible for this. I am grateful to have had him by my side at my lowest low. He is a fantastic doctor and his experience is another level. I realised it after he sorted such a major issue in my back without any invasive procedure. For us he is a dear friend and the only choice of doctor we recommend to anyone with any joint / muscle issues.

I suffered two herniated discs in 2015 and life had never been the same. I couldn’t play football and it affected my professional career adversely.
A lot of alternative medicine professionals like cold laser therapists and acupressure told me that 100% recovery is not possible and that weight training is forbidden.
Fast forward to visiting Stride in Dec 2019, Dr. Muthu Kumar ruled out herniated discs and recovery started in full swing. But the Covid pandemic interrupted my back rehab and I weighed 90 kilos.
In June 2021, I returned and my rehab began in full swing. After 5 months of rehab, my back pain has vanished. I now run 10 kms regularly. I also built lean muscle and cardio vascular endurance.
Thanks to Dr. Muthu Kumar and his team of physios who made the recovery possible.

The stride clinic has been instrumental in getting me back on my feet and life. I had debilitating back pain due to spondylolisthesis of the lower spine and a chronic ankle prone to sprains very often. It had adversely impacted my quality of life. I was unable to perform day to day tasks like walks, driving, workouts, sitting for long at an office desk or travelling. I had multiple episodes where I had to be on bed rest for long periods of time due to recurring back injuries and ankle sprains.
I was in treatment with stride for close to one and a half years. In this time, not only did my condition become better but Muthu and his team ensured total fitness for me with a robust strength training programme, to ensure that they build a strong foundation so that I don’t have recurring episodes. The treatment and the strength training has led me to have a pain-free back and ankle for the last 7 years. I found Stride clinic to be different than other physiotherapy clinics in many aspects – they are result driven, and their programmes are based on strengthening through weight training which is highly effective and long-lasting.
I find the knowledge, expertise, and professionalism at Stride exceptional. I highly recommend Stride physiotherapy to anyone seeking to get out of their injuries and pains and getting back to leading a normal life again!

In my profession as an actor, I end up getting injured quite a lot, sometimes the injuries are big, sometimes small and sometimes I end up with injuries that are not detectable till a few days later.
My worst injury, a blow to the neck and spine, caused a lot of pain and also spread to different areas of my back. This resulted in me not able to work out, putting on a lot of weight, and experiencing pain 24/7.
I seeked out help from Physiotherapists, Doctors, Chiropractors and almost any form of treatment that would help, sadly none did. I was on the verge of giving up and learning to live with the pain when a friend of mine convinced me to try one last time with a doctor that she had been getting treated by.
That’s when I was introduced to Dr. Muthu Kumar.
I met him over video call, due to the ‘CoronaVirus Pandemic’ lockdown, and he asked me a bunch of questions, some of which I thought were totally unrelated to my pains, like what sofa am I sitting on in the living room, but to my surprise, everything helped him asses my situation with pinpoint accuracy!
With a few exercises taught over the video call and an ever-positive attitude, I noticed that there was a huge relief to the pain that I was experiencing for so long. And as the sessions continued, my pains have slowly disappeared and I’m back to my old workout routines, my weight is back under my control, and I’m back at work, fully confident.
Dr. Muthu Kumar has been a miracle worker in my life and now I am able to bravely go to my work knowing that I have an excellent doctor to make sure I get back up on my feet if I fall.

My Achilles tendon on my left leg had been cut in two and I had undergone surgery to reconnect the tendon, after which the road to recovery was really difficult. As an actor, I’m required to be able to dance, jump, run or at the very least, walk. Since I could barely even stand and support my weight, my work had to be put on hold, my workouts had to be stopped, I couldn’t do the things I loved anymore.
However, once I was introduced to Dr. Muthu Kumar, things began to immediately look up. He gave me a set of physio stretches to do on a daily basis, he followed up almost on a daily basis, kept motivating me when I felt low, he never let me give up. And then, once I was strong enough, he started me on a few workouts. Step-by-step, day-by-day, I started noticing differences, I felt stronger, I was able to stand longer, I was able to move faster.
Now, I’ve resumed my work, I am confident enough to resume my dance classes and I’ve never felt stronger.
Thanks to Dr. Muthu Kumar, I’ve got my life back on track and am able to move forward
